I have always thought that Stitch is the anti-Mickey. So why not make them into the characters of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? 
That's why Mickey had that glowing flask. He turns into Stitch whenever he takes a dose of the potion.

This was done on Photoshop 7.0. The characters are digital painting and the background is pencil sketch on paper and manipulated in Photoshop using Image>Adjustments>Level.

Did you know that the original Mickey Mouse was voiced by Walt Disney himself? I think it was the squeaky version in the Steamboat Willy, Mickey's first movie short.
And I agree, whenvere I use PS I play around with it and I discover new things
